eBook FAQ

Reading Your eBook (applies to epub and mobi formats)

SIR provides its eBooks in two formats; MOBI (for the Amazon Kindle) and EPUB (for everyone else).  Regardless of whether you are going to be reading your eBook on a PC, laptop, or handheld device, you will need an eBook reader installed.  If you are planning on reading your eBook on a Windows device, and you do not already have an eBook reader installed, you can download the free application Adobe Digital Editions which can be found here.  If you are going to be reading your eBook on a Mac, iPad, or iPhone, you can use the Apple iBooks application.  If iBooks is not already installed on your Apple device, you can download it from the iTunes App Store.

For Kindle owners, the easiest way to get an eBook (make sure it is in MOBI format) onto your Kindle is to first download the eBook onto another device (such as a laptop) and then use the application Send to Kindle (free on Amazon’s site) to transfer the eBook to the Kindle.
