This month’s journal-based CME article is titled "Safety and Effectiveness of Transhepatic Access for Percutaneous Renal Mass Cryoablation: A Multicenter Cohort". This is a multicenter retrospective review of 23 consecutive patients undergoing cryoablation of a right renal mass. Specifically, the authors evaluated the safety and efficacy of a transhepatic approach for ablation.
The goal of this article is to help interventionalists understand risks and expected outcomes when performing renal ablation with a transhepatic approach. This study highlights safety profile and outcomes for challenging renal ablation techniques that require transhepatic access.
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologists, nurses, techs, and trainees at all levels with special interest in renal mass cryoablation. To receive CME credit for this journal-based CME activity, participants must read the journal article and score 75% or better on the post test. Participants will have three opportunities to score 75% or better.
