This month’s journal-based CME article is titled "Transcatheter arterial embolization for benign chronic inflammatory joint pain: a systematic review and meta-analysis". This is a meta-analysis of fourteen observational studies, including 346 patients, to evaluate the efficacy and safety of transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) in the treatment of chronic inflammatory joint pain.
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologists, nurses, techs, and trainees at all levels with special interest in treatment of patients with severe PPH.To receive CME credit for this journal-based CME activity, participants must read the journal article and score 75% or better on the post test. Participants will have three opportunities to score 75% or better.
Learning Objectives
After participating in this journal-based CME activity, learners should be able to:
- Discuss the safety and efficacy of TAE for chronic inflammatory joint pain.
- Understand expected time to clinical improvement following embolization.
- Understand adverse events seen during and after embolization.
